A Scent of Summin' Summoned: The ConjureSs’s Reckoning

$33.00

A Scent of Summin' Summoned is a saved work that was stolen from Igwe's computer. The title originally read, "Received, Of Heaven" and was a covenant Igwe made with God, to only do sweet work. Since the theft, the tile and the energy of the book has changed to "A Scent of Summin' Summoned". This work is but a grain of rice in the communal cooking pot when it comes to Igwe's darker workings. This body of work utilizes Igbo to summon feelings that are not easily translated in the English language. She covers themes of ancestral guiding wisdom, dealing with sexual abuse, summoning divine rage, and divine reckoning for the traumas and troubles she has endured in the last 10 months of her life, at the hands of 2. She is clear in that she has designed a family of 1, a family that bears a clear and unbreakable connection to the God that is, the living water and the living word. There is no mistake made about who she is talking to throughout the work, and the text is made pretty through the prayers for her people, and prayers against those who pillaged her ministry. All we can say is that hell is hot for those mugs.
